Overview
Since PedagogyFutures and Human Rights Education Associates (HREA) first collaborated to develop the AI, Human Rights & Education curriculum and course in 2024, the imperative to approach conversations about AI from a Human Rights perspective has only grown stronger. As AI becomes more powerful and further integrated into our schools and lives, its opportunity to be used in ways that violate the fundamental human rights of people across the globe only grows as well.
Therefore, educators must be prepared to teach about AI in a manner that upholds the dignity and rights of themselves and their learners and prepares learners with the AI and Human Rights literacy they will need now and throughout their lives.
In this webinar, we’ll
- Define AI and Human Rights literacy and its relevance to education today.
- Propose some guiding questions and answers for teaching AI and Human Rights.
- Introduce the newly updated AI, Human Rights & Education Curriculum.
- Introduce the new AI, Human Rights & Education course and workshop opportunities coming in early 2027.
